We are offering Adult breeding stock of Testudo hermanni (Hercegovinensis). Also known as ‘Dalmation.’ These are being offered for sale on behalf of the owner. He is a very well established long term UK breeder.
The breed is native of the Adriatic/Croatian coast line.
Adult Males range from 4.5 to 6 inches
Adult Females range from about seven to eight inches.
They can live for 70 to 80 years.
They lay clutch sizes of about 5 eggs in egg clutch.
We sold some for the owner just before they went in to hibernation. I believe the Article 10’s state bred in 1999. They are all microchipped. I stress these are current breeding stock, but the owner now needs to seriously reduce, some of his adult breeding stock.
In total there are now only THREE GROUPS (or sold individually) left.
These are likely to be sold out very soon, so don’t leave it until they are out of hibernation.
We will email the customers who have pre purchased these, and arrange a delivery date, as soon as they have safely emerged from hibernation, which I am informed is usually around the 21st of March.

The photograph shows some tortoises from the breeding colony, but do not necessarily represent the tortoise you will receive. As these are all breeding stock, the carapaces, digits etc will not all be in perfect conditions.
